On May 26, 2021, the US Senate voted unanimously to force the DNI to release intelligence linking China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology to “COVID-19.”

The Wuhan Institute of Virology is by no means the only research institute that has studied coronaviruses in bats which could have been the source of “COVID-19.”

The Lugar Center collected bats for coronavirus studies in the former soviet republic of Georgia in 2012 and 2014. This study was called Project G-2101. Arms Watch: “In 2012 the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) collected and sampled 236 bats for research in Georgia in cooperation with the Lugar Center. The project was funded by the US DoD Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Part of the samples were shipped to CDC (Atlanta), for screening for multiple pathogens, another part was stored at the Lugar Center for further studies. In 2014 the US Center for Disease Control (CDC) launched a second project “Emerging zoonotic pathogens in Georgian bats” along with Georgian scientists at the Lugar Center. The project was funded by the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC).

Georgia and Russia have both accused the Lugar Center of deliberate and deadly malfeasance.

Sputnik, September 11, 2018: “Former Georgian State Security Minister Igor Giorgadze has asked President Donald Trump to investigate reports that personnel at the Lugar Center may have engaged in experimentation on human test subjects, some of which he claims proved to be lethal. Speaking at a press conference in Moscow on Tuesday, Giorgadze said that he had received ‘hundreds of thousands of pages’ worth of documents from ‘friends’ in Georgia showing what appears to be evidence of experiments against human test subjects at the lab. The former minister, a long-time opponent of ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili, cited lab figures about the deaths of 24 people he said died in December 2015 while being treated for hepatitis C. Giorgadze claimed that in April and August 2016, another 30 and 13 people, respectively, had died, the cause of their deaths listed as ‘unknown,’ with no formal investigation carried out.”

Shi Zhengli of the Wuhan Institute of Virology has stated that the (human-modified?) bat coronavirus named “COVID-19” by the WHO could not have escaped from her lab because the coronavirus does not closely match any virus she has ever seen. I certainly don’t take her word for it, but at the same time, the Lugar Center has also been involved in this type of bat coronavirus research and their reputation is one of deliberate evil.

Fair is fair, Congress. How do we expect China to come clean if the US can’t get its own house in order? Congress should also demand that the US release any information requested by Georgia in their investigation of the lab-based deaths in their country.
